Jennifer and Paul's Wedding - Tyler Arboretum - Media, PA

The first time I ever met Jennifer and Paul was at their wedding.  The fact that they live almost three hours away from me might have something to do with that.  Anyway, once the day finally arrived it was like we’d known each other for years.  They’re two of the most genuine and caring people I’ve ever had the privilege to work with, and their wedding was filled to the brim with all kinds of emotion.  I had such a blast working with these two and their loved ones.  The photos below are a few of my favorites, and they’re just the tip of the iceberg.

Angie and Austin's Backyard Wedding - Saugerties, NY

When Austin contacted me about photographing his wedding I knew I had to be a part of it.  I had classes with Austin my first year of college, and he quickly became one of my favorite people.  He met Angie towards the end of that year, and though I hadn't spent much time with her before her wedding, I knew she was just as fun and outgoing as Austin.  Their wedding was an incredible reflection of their easy-going attitudes and an all-around blast to photograph.  Don't just take my word for it, though, keep scrolling...

Aditi and Naveen - Morven Museum and Garden Wedding - Princeton, NJ

Aditi and Naveen's wedding had no shortage of happenings to photograph.  From the early morning puja, to Naveen's Baraat, to the numerous rituals during the ceremony, to the raging party afterwards, my camera's shutter had a very busy day.  For those of you who have never been to an Indian wedding, you're surely missing out.  Here's a peek at what a great one looks like:

Melissa and Ryan - Lake Valhalla Club Wedding

After their engagement shoot in November, I knew Melissa and Ryan would kill it in front of the camera on their wedding day.  They proved me right and then some.  Anytime a couple gets on a boat in their wedding attire, you know they’re awesome.  See for yourself.

Mets vs. Nationals

I recently attended a golf outing with my uncle and a couple of his friends.  Up for auction was a photography experience at Citi Field with the Mets' chief photographer, Marc Levine.  I had considered bidding on it, but ultimately decided that my priorities lied elsewhere and that I had plenty of time to fulfill my dream of photographing a professional baseball game.  Unbeknownst to me until later in the night, my Uncle bid on it for me, and he ended up winning.  I found myself pretty much speechless for the rest of the night, and I still don't think he knows how much I appreciate it.

Fast forward to last Friday...  I got to the field, got my credentials from Marc, and walked straight down onto the field for batting practice.  Everything was right there in front of me, and as much as I wanted to channel 12-year-old Garret and fawn over the players and scenes unfolding, I got right to work shooting anything and everything I could.  My aim going into it was to obviously get some great action shots of the game, but more so to get photos that told a story and showed what was going on off the field.  I thought of it the same way I think of weddings; the moments and candids are always what I'm looking for.

Here are my favorites from the incredible time I spent at Citi Field photographing my favorite sports franchise.  I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity I was given, and I'm hoping that I can make this a more regular occurrence in the future.  I actually lived a dream in photographing this game, and now that it's in the past, I can build on that dream and work on turning it into a living.

Ty and Josh - Minerals Resort Wedding, Vernon NJ

There are so many adjectives one could use to describe how great a wedding was.  Ty and Josh’s wedding justifies checking the all-of-the-above box.  They’re such a loving, genuine couple, their group of family and friends are tons of fun, and the day itself was gorgeous.  Ty and Josh made my work easy and enjoyable, and I was honored to be able to capture their wedding.  Have a look at some of my favorite shots from their day.

Jessica and David - The Manor, West Orange, NJ Wedding

When I met with Jessica and David for the first time, I knew I wanted to work with them right away.  I loved their laid-back attitudes and general positive disposition, and I knew that would translate to an awesome wedding day.  I was spot on.  Everywhere I looked at their wedding, there were giant smiles and sometimes a few happy tears (which we photographers always love.)  I enjoyed every minute of working with these two and their families, and I couldn’t wait to share these photos with all of you.

Melissa and Ryan's NYC Engagement Shoot

Being that NYC is such a expansive city narrowing down a location for an engagement shoot can sometimes be tricky.   We started in Central Park, which is a fantastic location by itself, and I was pleased to find out that Melissa and Ryan had plans to explore even more unique locations in the city.  I enjoyed adventuring and in the photographs you can see that Melissa and Ryan genuinely enjoyed the experience too.

Emily and Ken's Highland Lakes Engagement Shoot

Emily and Ken had an idea for their engagement shoot that I was totally on board with (get it?)  Having grown up in a lake community - this lake community that is depicted below - I'd always wanted to do a shoot on the water.  We quickly learned that it wasn't as easy as we'd thought it would be, especially since it was a windy day and rowboats and canoes aren't the easiest to maneuver and keep in place.  Don't worry though, we found a solution and turned what could've been a debacle into a really fun shoot.  Check out some of my favorites below!

Sara and Michael's Rainy Van Campens Glen Engagement Shoot

Normally when I have an engagement shoot scheduled on a day when rain is in the forecast, it's normal for the shoot to get postponed.  Though I understand wanting to reschedule to a nicer day, I've always wanted to photograph an engagement shoot in inclement weather.  I was thrilled when Sara texted me the morning of their shoot saying that they'd love to keep the shoot as scheduled.  As you can see below, Sara and Michael welcomed the rain, and we had a blast adventuring through the wilderness.  I'm looking forward to more adventures with them on their wedding day!
